PSL 2021: 40-year-old Shahid Afridi quickly runs, tweeted, video goes viral

The third match of the Pakistan Super League was between Islamabad United and Multan Sultan. Islamabad performed well in the low scoring match and won by 3 wickets. Multan, batting first, scored 150 for 8 in 20 overs thanks to a 71-run stand by skipper Mohammad Rizwan. In response, Islamabad achieved this goal by losing 7 wickets in 19 overs. During the match, Shahid Afridi showed great agility and made his way to the pavilion with a direct throw. Afridi’s run out video has become quite viral on social media.

This was seen by Afridi bowling in the 11th over of Islamabad’s innings. Hussein Talat played Afridi’s fifth delivery of the over with light hands and ran to take a run. Standing on the other end, Iftikhar Ahmad also ran to Talaat’s call, but was unable to run faster than Afridi. Afridi picked up the ball on his follow-up and hit a straight stump at the end of the batting. Iftikhar Ahmad Afridi was quick in the back and could not reach the crease. Shahid Afridi’s side may have lost in this match, but Afridi took 2 wickets for just 24 runs in his four overs.
