German automaker BMW today unveiled the new facelift model of its famous performance sedan M5 competition in the Indian market. Decorated with a very attractive appearance and strong engine capacity, the car is priced at Rs 1.62 crore. The company is bringing the car to the Indian market through the Complete Built Unit (CBU) route and can be booked online through the company’s official website.
On the new BMW M5, the company uses the V8 Twin Power engine, which gives this car 625 hp of power and 750 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed M steptronic transmission gearbox. It also has shift pedals on the steering wheel. The car claims to be capable of accelerating to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.3 seconds.
This car has three different driving modes that include road, sport and track. You can select from the M Mode selector provided in the center console. Inside the car, the 12.3-inch full digital instrument display and the 12.-3-inch mid-display complement the BMW M5 competition cabin. It also gets the BMW Live Cockpit Professional with the BMW operating system 7.0, which also includes 3D navigation.
Other highlights of the sedan include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, the Herman Kordon Surround Sound System (Bowers and Wilkins Diamond Surround System comes optional), BMW Display Key, Surround View Camera and Head-Up. The show is also presented. It also has a voice command feature so drivers can easily control more features with just one sound. The company claims that the new BMW M5 delivers mileage of up to 9.12 km on a liter of petrol.
