He was raised in a family with strong ties to the entertainment industry, as his aunt was the late actress Manjula Vijayakumar. However, not much is known about his parents. Sanjeev completed his graduation from Loyola College in Chennai. Throughout his school and college days, he actively participated in extracurricular activities such as dancing and driving, which later became his hobbies.
