Shardul Pandit on finding love in Bigg Boss 14: ‘I don’t believe in love that trends for few days and ends when the season is over’ – tv

Television actor Shardul Pandit has appeared in such shows as Bandini, Godd Bharai, Kitani Mohabbat Hai 2 and Kuladeepak, who have made their debut in Bigg Boss 14 One of the three wild card contestants on the popular reality show, along with television stars Kavita Kaushik and Naina Singh.

Shardul made headlines during the coronavirus lockdown when he was forced to leave Mumbai and return to his home city of Indore to sell his car after his savings were exhausted. She also talked about losing work due to health problems and slipping into depression. He could bounce back through treatment and the support of some industry friends.

Before Bigg Boss entered the house, Shardul talked with Indian News Live about his survival strategy, favorite Bigg Boss contestants and the possibility of finding love on the show. Excerpt:

Q. What made you decide to become part of Bigg Boss 14?

Ex. I don’t know how to answer that question. I think Bigg Boss must have been saying why he chose me. I’m too young to say that I chose Bigg Boss, I can’t be megalomaniac and can’t say it. Big Boss and Colors picked me up.

Q. During the lockdown you talked about having financial difficulties. How’s that for you? Do you think Bigg Boss 14 will open a new door?

Ex. It has already opened new doors for me. I mean, how on earth would I interview HT if it wasn’t Bigg Boss?

Q. This season has already begun with a few turns in Tivu. Do you have a survival strategy?

Ex. Yes, of course. I have survived life and it is very difficult. What I have survived over the last year and a half, I can assure you that anyone who goes through it will probably quit. I have already survived life, now I have to look at situations and people and actions and how to live a reality show.

Q. Can you elaborate on what you mean when you say that someone else in your position may have quit if they experienced what you experienced?

Ex. As I said in my post, I have gone through a pretty rough patch with regards to my health and my family. My mother underwent chemotherapy at the same time. I had no finances because the show I did before, the money stuck and it was over. Lockdown is the nail in the coffin because we all have no hope or means to earn. I am very realistic. I am not Shah Rukh Khan or Salman Khan. I was a very small fish in the pond. I had no savings.

Q. Who do you see as your biggest rival in Bigg Boss 14?

A. Everybody. Watching the two-week broadcast, it would be foolish of me to decide who my competitor is. You can have your likes and dislikes on the show but you cannot say that this person is my competition because I am judging others too weak. I’m a fan of the show. Just when you think, ‘Oh, this contestant is doing nothing,’ the next week, that contestant takes office. So, you never know.

Q. From what you have seen, which competitor do you think will fit in?

Ex. From what I’ve seen, I can’t say I’m not going to fit in with them. The job is not to fit in with them. I’ll talk about myself. What I am missing is having more camera on me. Now, God has put 150 cameras on me. So I think my relationship is going to be with those cameras, but people are not temporary. They have been going to the show with me for a while and it doesn’t matter whether I mingle with them or not. I’m not going to have babies with them.

Q. You’ve talked in the past about fighting depression and going to a therapist. The atmosphere in Bigg Boss can be quite hostile at times. How do you deal with it?

Ex. As I handled life! You cannot pre-empt those instances. Suddenly, in 2020, we never imagined that this type of disease (Kovid-19) would come and you could not move around or go to work. You may need to take a pay cut. You can’t touch people or meet them. No one had ever thought this was going to happen. Similarly, tomorrow, if I get into a heated argument with someone, I can’t pre-empt what will happen.

Q. Which competitors do you really admire from Big Boss’s behind?

Ex. With each season, the game changes, and you have stand outs from each from Tue. I can’t name a person in the last 13 forwards. There are favorites from each from Tue. At the top of my list is Shehnaz Gill. I tweeted about it last year, telling how Colors and Endemol found this kind of contestant. She was unexpected. He lit up the stage within two minutes of his entry with Salman Khan and that was quite a big thing. We have never seen anyone play mind games but Vikas Gupta did it, so this is a wonderful thing. We have never seen a contestant vent his anger by placing a chapel next to the pageant. That was Shilpa Shinde, who was entertaining and funny when she quarreled with the contestant. We have never seen a person like Siddharth Shukla. These are my favorites in the past. I need to mention Gauhar Khan, because that woman, when she decides something is right, she sticks to it and she gives you logic.

Q. Bigg Boss contestants have a personal life in general, and controversies on national television are on the rise. Does that matter to you?

Ex. I think the channel and the show are very sensitive to things. Even if something comes out, it is treated very respectfully as we have seen in the past. So I’m in very safe hands. Then, it’s my job. When you go to a program that has too much media attention on you, people pull you down. But my question to all those people is, are you a saint in your own life? If you are, point your fingers at me. If I put you in front of 150 cameras with journalists reporting every day, I could write that no one can be seen as a saint.

Q. You are in touch with your Kuladeepak co-star Kirti Nagpure. Do you have a relationship with her?

Ex. No, I am not related to her.

Q. In the past, we have seen competitors sometimes find love on the show. Are you open to it?

Ex. If that happens, yes. But I really don’t believe in that love of ending the moment for a few days of trends and seasonality.
