Today, the stock market gained momentum on the first trading day of the week, Monday. The BSE Sensex gained 848.18 points to 49,580.73 and the NSE Nifty gained 245.35 points to 14,923.15.
The benchmark index, Sensex, rose by over 300 points in early trading on Monday, thanks to the rise in large stocks such as HDFC, ICICI Bank and Infosys. The 30-share BSE Sensex was trading at 49,033, up 300.45 points or 0.62 percent. The NSE Nifty gained 75.60 points or 0.52 points at 14,753.40.
IndusAnd Bank traded up 7.27% on the Sensex. In addition, SBI, ONGC, Bajaj Finserv, ICICI Bank, HDFC, Titan and Dr. Reddys and Infosys also closed on the brink. On the other hand, L&T, Bharti Airtel and Sun Pharma closed the red mark.

In the previous session, the Sensex rose by 41.75 points, or 0.09 points, to 48,732.55. Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth Rs 2,607.85 crore on Friday, according to stock market provisional data.
