Raina is currently preparing for IPL 2021 and will play as Chennai Super Kings this season.

Suresh Raina announced his retirement from international cricket on August 15 last year, 15 minutes after Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s retirement. Raina returned to the UAE in IPL 2020 for personal reasons without playing any matches and it was believed that he could leave Chennai Super Kings later. Raina had decided to retire after being constantly ignored by Team India. Raina played a key role with the bat at the 2011 World Cup and played a half-century in the semi-final against Pakistan.
