According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Abhishek Makwana and his close friends have alleged that since the death of the writer, he too has been receiving calls from the perpetrators. The reason for these calls is to recover the loan taken. According to family and close friends, pressure is being made on them to return the money through these calls. He has been told through these calls that the late writer had made him a guarantor for the loan he had taken. Now after this, the family is assuming financial fraud in this case.

Abhishek Makwana’s brother Janice has told the Mumbai Police that financial fraud has also been reported from the e-mails of the late writer. While in the suicide note, Abhishek Makwana had cited the financial crisis as the reason for dying.
