Tata HBX: Tata’s new Micro-SUV coming for less than Rs 5 lakhs

Tata Motors, the country’s leading automaker, today announced the launch of its new Micro SUV Tata HBX in the domestic market. Decorated with an attractive sporty look and strong engine capability, the teaser of this S UV has also been released.

The SUV has been tested on many occasions and the production version is believed to be similar to the concept model. Tata Motors has now released a teaser video of this SUV on social media, featuring a short view of its headlamps.

Based on the title given in this short teaser video released by the company, it can be said that the company names the Tata HBX. So far it has been used as a codename in media reports. Based on the spy images of this SUV, the company claims to have supplied Daytime Running Lights (DRL) with attractive headlights. In addition, four-spoke dual tone alloy wheels enhance its side profile.

It is expected to get features such as a three-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls, a floating touchscreen infotainment system, a smartphone connection. The dashboard is decorated with silver accents with a black finish. The company has designed this SUV on its new Impact 2.0 design philosophy. According to reports, the 1.2-liter petrol engine can be offered in it, producing 83bhp of power and 114Nm of torque. This engine is added to the 5 speed manual transmission gearbox. The company can release it to the market through an automatic gearbox.

The SUV is very affordable:

It is difficult to say anything about its price before its release, but the company may be priced between Rs 4 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. If the company releases this SUV at this price point, it could prove to be a turning point for the company. However, Tata Nexon is already doing well in the compact SUV segment.
