The arrest of a man who was hunting and selling meat and horns

Bangalore: A man who is in financial distress has been caught by the CK police when he tried to sell deer, elephant and nada rifle. He has seized 5 horns of a deer, a small elephant’s tooth, a single barrel nada gun.

Mallesha (50) is a resident of Konaladoddi village of Hobali in Kanavapura taluk of Ramanagar district.

On Wednesday morning, it was reported that a man was trying to sell a deer horn, an elephant, a nada gun in a two-sack bag near the Gangamma temple near the Chittur bus stand at Channammanakere Achikattu police station. Immediately, the police managed to catch the accused.

The accused had hunted wild animals with a firearm at home and illegally collected meat, skin and horns and had already sold a horn. The other five were hired by the police if they arrived in the city for the horn sale.

Five deer horns, elephant tusks, single barrel tapeworm have been seized from the prison. A case has been registered under the Wildlife Conservation Act of 1972.
