Tata Motors, the country’s largest automaker, has updated its best-selling electric SUV, the Tata Nexon EV, with some of the highlights today. It now gets a button-less and dial-less infotainment system. It is a seven-inch display with a Tata Connect Next Operating System (OS). It can be connected to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The new Tata Nexon Electric can be connected to the company’s OnConnect app, which offers over 35 connected car features. The second major change is that it has now acquired the redesigned alloy wheel, which was offered earlier this year in its petrol-diesel engine variants. These 16-inch alloy wheels come with XZ + and XZ + LUX variants. Despite these changes, the company has not made any changes to the price of this SUV, ranging from Rs 13.99 lakh to Rs 16.56 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Tata Nexon EV is the best-selling electric SUV in the country. You can see that a total of 749 units of electric four-wheelers were sold in the country last April, of which 525 units were sold by Tata Nexon The company has also added some attractive features in this SUV along with a strong battery pack. These include automatic climate control, 7-inch infotainment system, auto highlights, electric sunroof, park assist, auto rain sensing wipers, electric tailgate.
The company offers a 30.2 kW lithium-ion liquid cooled battery pack. The company claims that this electric SUV delivers driving range of up to 312 km on a single charge. The electric motor offered in it produces 127bhp of torque and 245Nm of torque. In addition, a variety of chargers are offered, including a 15A domestic socket and a fast charger.
