The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to hold the Ranji Trophy at the beginning of next year. BCCI intends to launch a new domestic season with the Women’s Under-19 ODI and Vinoo Mankad Trophy (Men’s Under-19) Tournament. Due to the corona epidemic, both tournaments were not held last year.
This year the tournaments will be held in 29 days. They will be held from 20 September to 19 October next month. Last year’s Ranji Trophy was not even hosted due to the corona epidemic. The Ranji Trophy will be held from January 5 to March 20 next year. The Vijay Hazare ODI Championship will be held from December 1 to 29. The new feature of the home season is the introduction of the Inter-State A competition for men under 25. The tournament replaces the Colonel CK Naidu Trophy, a championship for under-23s.
