If you have not yet connected your PAN card to Aadhaar, your problems may increase significantly from March 31st. After changes in the rules of the Finance Act 2017, linking of Aadhaar and PAN card is mandatory. According to the government’s new deadline, you can link Aadhaar to PAN by March 31. If you do not do this, you will not only be invalid, but you will also face a fine of Rs 10,000 on financial transactions.

How to link your PAN to Aadhaar

You can do this by checking the biometric Aadhaar or by visiting the pan service centers of NSDL and UTITSL. This can be done by texting 567678 or 56161. Messages can be sent in the form of UIDPAN space 12 digit base space 10 digit PAN (UIDPAN 12 Digit Aadhaar> 10 Digit PAN>). Second, the PAN can be linked to Aadhaar through the department’s e-filing portal – www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in.

The new rule, which will file income tax returns from April 1, will not save tax evaders

What happens if there is no pan-aadhaar link

If your PAN is not linked to Aadhaar, the Income Tax Department can impose a penalty of Rs 10,000 on you. After this, if a PAN card is required, they will not be able to make any financial transactions.
