According to figures released by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am, there were 13,788 new cases of Kovid-19 reported in the country in one day. On January 12, 12,548 new cases were reported. At the same time, after the deaths of a further 145 people, the death toll rose to 1,52,419.
According to statistics, a total of 1,02,11,342 people are infected, with the recovery rate of patients in the country rising to 96.59 per cent. The death rate of Kovid-19 is 1.44 per cent. The number of patients infected with the virus in the country is less than three lakh. A total of 2,08,012 people are being treated for coronavirus infection, which accounts for 1.97 percent of total cases.
In India, the number of infected persons has crossed 20 lakhs on August 7, 30 lakhs on August 23rd and 40 lakhs on September 5th. At the same time, total cases of infection crossed 50 lakhs on September 16, 60 lakhs on September 28th, 70 lakhs on October 11th, 80 lakhs on October 29th and 90 lakhs on November 20th and one crore on December 19th.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Sciences (ICMR), a total of 18,70,93,036 samples were tested on Kovid-19 until January 17 in the country. Of them, 5,48,168 samples were tested on Sunday.
