The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that the remaining matches of the IPL 2021 will be transferred to the UAE at a special general meeting (SGM) on Saturday. The remaining 31 matches of the tournament will be held between September-October, the board said. It will be the second consecutive year of IPL matches in the UAE. Archer’s tweet is going viral because BCCI will have to host the IPL again this year in the UAE. Last year, BCCI had to get a full IPL season in the UAE due to Corona. This year IPL 2021 started without any problems, but as time went on, the corona cases in India started to increase and then the corona entered the tournament bubble and many players became infected one after another. Then the board had to adjourn it indefinitely.
