In a recent interview, BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla made it clear that the absence of foreign players would have no impact on the tournament. He said, ‘We have also discussed the issue of foreign players. Our main focus is to complete this season of IPL. Can’t leave it in the middle. So it is best to have any foreign players available. We will not stop organizing the tournament as it will not be available for the rest of the match. Indian players attend, foreign players are present, but some foreign players are not.
