Corona’s growing case has raised the concerns of companies by one. Because of this, companies are again postponing or halting new hires. This is revealed in the Manpower Group survey report.
In the report, companies have been postponing the new interview schedule for two to three weeks following an escalating coronavirus case in the country. At the same time, many companies have decided to take care of Corona’s escalating case and adopt a wait and watch mode policy. Some companies withhold new appointments in the short term.
Most affected in Mumbai and Bangalore
Mumbai and Bangalore have the fastest rate of corona infection in the country. This has had a major impact on companies working in these cities. Companies have decided to pursue new hires in view of the increasing corona transition. At the same time, some companies say they make new appointments according to their pre-scheduled schedule.
Demand to speed up vaccination
Companies claim that the vaccine needs to be activated to contain a growing corona infection as soon as possible. The central and state governments need to work together on this. Doing so will help prevent corona infection and continue the pace of recovery in the economy.
It is difficult to supply workers in factories
The increasing case of corona has again raised the concerns of companies. To meet the rising demand, companies say they were working fast at hiring workers, but Corona’s increasing case only exacerbates the problem. Naveen Pandey, owner of Maharashtra Labor Service, a supplier of labor to companies, said it was difficult for contractors like us to fulfill the promises made to their customers after the corona case was on the rise. Workers are not ready to return from the village after the corona infection has increased. They are getting a good job there.
New companies are not taking jobs
“We are not taking orders to give new companies diligence.” We are unable to meet the needs of our old customers. After the Corona crisis, workers migrated from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. These three states had the highest number of workers. However, the workers are back again after the lockdown is over but less than they are gone. This has exacerbated the crisis. If the corona crisis re-emerges, workers will be in dire straits. This affects the production of companies and it can be difficult to meet demand.
