The trailer for HBO’s His Dark Materials’ second for Tue is over. Continuing Lyra’s story in the second season, she discovers a weapon called a micro-knife. The trailer is bigger and apparently more expensive.
There are stunning looking set pieces and with the introduction of the Andrew Scott character (voiced by Phoebe Waller-Bridge), the second season is really exciting.
The official summary of his dark material states, “His dark material includes Daf Keen, James McAvoy, Ruth Wilson and Lin-Manuel Miranda.” The adaptation of Philip Pullman’s award-winning trilogy of the same name, regarded as a modern work of fiction, follows Lyra, another simple but daring young woman in the first season. Her discovery of a kidnapped friend unravels the sinister plot involving the stolen children and explores the meaning of the mysterious erious event of dust. As she travels around the world, including ours, Lyrara meets Will, a determined and courageous boy. Together, they encounter extraordinary creatures and dangerous mysteries, both living – and the fate of the dead in their hands. “
His Dark Material premiered on November 2.
