Japanese carmaker Nissan India launched its sub-compact SUV Nissan Magnite in December last year. With this SUV, there has been a significant increase in the company’s sales. The company said it sold 4,259 passenger vehicles in July 2021. Nissan claims this is the company’s highest sales in the domestic market in the last three years, made possible by Magnite.
Not only that, Nissan India also reported a 443% growth in sales compared to July 2020. In July last year, the company sold only 784 units. Not only domestic sales, Nissan India’s exports increased in July 2021. In July, the company shipped 3,897 units, an increase of 64 percent over July 2020.

Nissan Magnite has done wonders
Nissan has been a major contributor to India’s domestic sales of the Magnite Compact SUV. The company claims to have sold more than 20,000 units of this compact SUV since its launch. The price of the car ranges from Rs 5.59 lakh to Rs 9.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It comes only in petrol engine option. The SUV has 1.0-liter petrol (72PS / 96Nm) and 1.0-liter turbo petrol (100PS / 160Nm) engines. The car gets a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed CVT transmission.

The company claims that Nissan Magnet offers the cheapest handling of 29 paise / km (50,000 km) in its segment. The company is offering a 2 year (50,000 km) warranty on the car, which can be extended to 5 years (100,000 km). The company has launched a ‘pick-up and drop-off’ facility. In addition, the company provides Shop @ Home facility to purchase Nissan Magnite from home. It is a 360-degree virtual showroom where you can explore the vehicle by visiting the company’s website.
