Three persons including loco pilot and guard suspended

Loco pilots, assistant loco pilots and guards have been suspended in the case of the Purnagiri Jana Shatabdi Express flew from Delhi to Tanakpur. The train was safely stopped at gate number 35 of Khatima. There were 64 passengers on the train at the time of the accident. The railway has also let out a sigh as all passengers are safe. All passengers were sent by bus to the road. Authorities say the accident happened when the cow hit the engine after it didn’t break.

The Shatabdi Express, which is on its way from Delhi to Pilibhit to Tanakpur, was passing through the home signal of Tanakpur and it is said that the train was hit by a cow. The crew stopped the train with a brake. After this, when the train pulled the vacuum to move forward, surprisingly the train began to run in the opposite direction (rolldown) instead of going to Tanakpur. All 64 passengers on the train were shocked to see the train go back. The train could not be stopped at gate number 35 of Khatima. CPRO Pankaj Singh said an inquiry has been launched into the matter. Loco pilots, assistant loco pilots and guards are suspended.

The train stopped with small stones on the track
Superintendent of the Tanakpur Railway Station DS Senanayake said the railway staff was alerted immediately after the train was informed of the reversal. The brake failed. So stopping the train after blocking the trek is the only option. It is for this reason that it is said that the railway staff laid small stones from place to place on this trek. This gradually reduced the speed of the train. The train stopped only when the speed slowed. According to the superintendent, putting large stones on the trek means there is a risk of overturning the train.
