Tony-nominated actor Anthony Chisholm passes away at 77

Tony-nominated actor Anthony Chisholm has died at the age of 77.
According to Variety, the talent management team has confirmed the death of the actor best known for his work in the final installment of the venerable playwright August Wilson’s Pittsburgh Cycle.
“The Katz Company is saddened to announce the demise of our longtime friend and client, Tony-nominee, Anthony Chisholm,” remarked Variety President Jeremy Katz.
“Lovingly known as ‘Chiz’, he was an actor and storyteller who embodied loyalty, devotion and compassion to his artistry,” Katz said.
In addition to his known roles, HBO also portrayed prisoner Burr Redding in his crime drama ‘Oz’.
In addition, Chisholm has appeared in numerous television shows and films such as ‘Going In Style,’ Spike Lee’s ‘Chi-Rock,’ ‘Beloved,’ and many more.
Chisholm is survived by his son Alexander, daughter Che, Sousse Peter Vietro-Hanum and grandchildren.
