Virender Sehwag became a fan of this batsman, Shikhar Dhawan could be replaced

Devadat Padikal, who made his debut for Team India in Sri Lanka on the tour of Sri Lanka, may not have achieved much in the two T20 internationals he played, but he is a big fan of former cricketer and batsman Virender Sehwag of his time. Devadath Padikkal, who has performed brilliantly in domestic cricket and the Indian Premier League (IPL), has been selected in Team India for the tour of Sri Lanka. Podikkal may not have played a single match in ODIs, but he has played two T20 internationals. Both matches were low scoring, 29 in one and 9 in the other. Dhawan hoped Padikkal could replace Shikhar Dhawan in the next few days.

Sehwag said in Krickbuzz, “He really played an innings, he scored a century in the IPL. We have seen good batting. When Shikhar Dhawan leaves the team, this batsman could be a perfect replacement. Padikkal has played 21 matches in the IPL and has 668 runs in his account.

Padikal has scored these runs at an average of 33.4 and a tremendous strike rate of 131.76. He has a century and five fifties in his name in the IPL. Padikkal plays Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in IPL. India won the first T20 International match against Sri Lanka, then suffered two consecutive defeats. After Karnal Pandya became a Corona Positive, eight other Indian cricketers were forced to opt out of the T20 series, with whom he remained in close contact. In such a situation, in the last two T20 Internationals, Team India players did not have much choice.
