After a 20-day bio-bubble break, Team India has been playing a three-day practice match against County Select XI since July 20. Apart from Kohli, the team’s vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane is also not participating in the match due to muscle ejection. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah said, “Kohli had some stiffness in his back as of late Monday evening and the BCCI medical team has been instructed to rest after a three-day first-class match.” “Deputy Ajinkya Rahane brings gentle elling around his left leg muscles,” he said.
