Team India captain Virat Kohli is not taking part in the ongoing practice match against County Select XI, but he will not leave any stone unturned in the preparations for the Test series. Virat’s video was shared by the BCCI on his Twitter handle in which he is batting superbly. The Indian captain has been rested for a three-day warm-up match.

In a video shared by the BCCI, Kohli can be seen hitting the best shots and he looks good in the middle of the ball. After a 20-day bio-bubble break, Team India has been playing a three-day practice match against County Select XI since July 20. Apart from Kohli, the team’s vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane is also not participating in the match due to muscle ejection. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah said, “Kohli had some stiffness in his back as of late Monday evening and the BCCI medical team has been instructed to rest after a three-day first-class match.” “Deputy Ajinkya Rahane brings gentle elling around his left leg muscles,” he said.
