India’s PV Sindhu and Kidambi Srikanth have lost their second consecutive match at the World Tour Finals Badminton Tournament in Bangkok. Thailand’s Ratchanok Intanan defeated Sindhu in Group B while Srikanth defeated Wang Xu Wei of Taipei for more than an hour. The tournament has been a disappointment for both India’s star players.

PV Sindhu defeated Ratchanok Intanon of Group 3 seed Thailand 21-18 21-13 in 43 minutes. Sindhu did not appear in her rhythm during the match. In the final group match, Sindhu will face Thailand’s Pornpawi Chokuang. In Group B, Srikanth defeated fourth seed Taipei Wang Xu Wei 19-21, 21-9 and 21-19 in one hour and 18 minutes. The last game of Srikanth’s group is now NG Long Angus of Hogcog. Sindhu lost to Tai Xu Ying of Taipei 19-21 21-12 21-17 in her first match. After a lockdown caused by Corona, Sindhu has not yet seen her rhythm. Sindhu was eliminated in the first round of the Yonex Thailand Open.
