Chhattisgarh: Maoists have committed atrocities in the Bijapur forest area. The two were killed under the guise of police informers. Bijapur SP Kamalochan Kashyap said the dead were identified as Ganiram Korsa and Gopal Kudiyam. The recent killing of 16 people by the Maoists in Kurcheli village on the outskirts of Gangalur is a sensational incident. On September 5, 25 people were kidnapped and four strangled near Motipal-Poonur. Vigilant police are conducting extensive combing in Maoist-affected areas of Chhattisgarh state as Maoists commit murders in the name of public courts.
