UIDAI said in a tweet about the important responsibility of parents regarding their child and stated that Bal Aadhaar can only be used up to 5 years of age. After 5 years, if the biometric check is not done, the child’s Aadhaar will become inactive or closed.

To update the biometrics, find the Aadhaar Center this way

Visit the nearest Aadhaar Card Center and click on this link from UIDAI Appointments to get biometrics to update your biometrics. Uidai.gov.in/easearch.aspx so that your child does not have access to school or any other work. UIDAI says that after updating your 5-year-old child’s biometric, when the same child turns 15, your child’s biometric needs to be updated in Aadhaar. Explain that these mandatory biometric updates are free for children.

How to apply for a Bal Aadhaar home?
Step 1: For this, you must first visit the official website of UIDAI. On this website, you need to click on the Aadhaar Card Registration link.

Step 2: Here you will need to fill in many important information, including the child’s name and the parent’s name. You will also need to fill out the Aadhaar enrollment form.

Step 3: At this point, you will enter the address, region, district / city, state, etc.

Step 4: After that click on the Appointment button and select Schedule for Aadhaar Card Registration. You can choose the enrollment center closest to your home.

Step 5: You will need to visit the Enrollment Center on the date of appointment. You should also include a child birth certificate, a photocopy of the parent’s Aadhaar card and a reference number.

Step 6: The Enrollment Center will review all documents, then link the biometric information with the child’s Aadhaar card. Only a photograph of a child under the age of 5 is registered.

Step 7: Here, too, after all the processing is over, the applicant is given an acknowledgment number, with the help of which you can know the status of the application.

Step 8: After 60 days an SMS will come to the registered mobile number. Bal Aadhaar will be sent to you within 90 days of the registration process.
