Bangalore: The city is becoming a wilderness because of the unscientific conclusions of the government, the University of Bangalore and the University of Bangalore, which is a breathtaking city, a favorite picnic spot, researchers’ laboratory, cattle, bird and herbaceous habitat.

With so many institutions already in place, the campus of the university is narrowing, and now the handing over of the Biodiversity Land to the University of Yoga Science has caused a new controversy.

The action of the University of Bangalore, which has leased about 15 acres of land to the Yoga Science University in the ‘Biodiversity Forest’ at the Jnanabharathi premises, has been strongly opposed by environmentalists, environmental activists and locals.

The fire at the VV premises in Bangalore is burning

Gulbarga Central University and the CBSC Board have allotted land in the same premises, which has caused further outrage among environmental lovers.

Bangalore VV Circular issued daily

There have already been several protests against the university’s lease of land, and environmental organizations are leading the fight. The ecologist Dr Yallappa Reddy has returned to the ‘Honorary Doctorate’ awarded by the University of Bangalore.

Narrowing VV fields
The University of Bangalore is spread over an area of 1,111 acres of enlightened campus. About 500 acres of land have been leased for several years to other institutions including the Indian Sports Authority, the NAC, the National Law School, the Institute for Social Change (Isaac), Dr. BR Ambedkar Economic School, Kagramam and the Regional English Institute. About 150 acres of land have been illegally encroached by privateers, pending court cases.

In the meantime, the Yoga Sciences University, which is proposing to build a new University Grants Commission (UGC), will pay Rs 7.50 lakh annually for 30 years. VV has leased about 15 acres for lease. It is said that the Yoga Science University is going to be built by a private institution. Also, the granting of about 10 acres to Gulbarga Central University and about 3 acres to CBSC has given rise to environmental concerns.

Why the opposition?
In 2002, the foundation for the construction of the ‘Jiva Diversity Forest’ at the Jnanabharathi premises was laid. Currently growing in abundance with the cooperation of students, public and environmental lovers, the forest is home to more than 300 trees, more than 600 medicinal plants, 148 species of butterflies, 149 species of birds and hundreds of peacocks. There are rare trees like sandalwood and sandalwood. In addition, the Gnanabharati premises, a major oxygen supply site in the city, have also played an important role in groundwater retention. Thousands of airstrips are supported daily. And is also a student research site.

Let’s do Yoga Vivi at Nameghatta
“Let Yoga Vivi be made in a wide area like the city’s name road. Also, let the Gulbarga Central Vivian Regional Center elsewhere, ” said the environmental activist Dr. D.Pamesh Naik… insists. The President has written to a number of people, including the Prime Minister.

At the 2017 Syndicate Meeting, it was decided that the diversity of the VV campus would be the head of life and no other organization should be given space. However, the Chancellors have leased 15 acres to Yoga VV. The Vice Chancellor must write to the Government regarding administrative matters in Viv. But the fact that Vivi Chancellor himself wrote the letter has caused many doubts. He said the matter would be addressed in court.

Trouble with the sound of trains
“There are hundreds of trains running on the Bangalore-Mysore route near the Jnanabharathi premises and noise pollution is common. There is also the Bangalore-Mysore National Highway at some distance. Thousands of vehicles drive on this road. Thus, the establishment of the Yoga Yoga University will disturb the peace and concentration during the yoga practice. If the trees are destroyed for the building of Yoga Vivi, VV will be greatly affected by air pollution. ”

The university did not listen to me, who worked hard to produce such a tapovan. I have changed the Janaki Ammal Botanical Garden to the IISc campus of Chalakkere with the intention of constructing the VV campus. It is the duty of the university to preserve its land, regardless of the government and the UGC. I have also returned the honorary doctorate honoring me for failing to do so.

“Other companies, including Yoga VV, have been given land in accordance with the government’s decision, not Vivi’s unilateral decision. The government has decided to grant land at the request of the UGC and we have acted accordingly. ”
