Bigg Boss 14: Colors apologises for Jaan Kumar Sanu’s comment on Nikki Tamboli speaking Marathi, promises to remove it – tv
Colors apologized after John Kumar Sanu spoke of Nikki Tamboly speaking Marathi in Bigg Boss 14. The channel, in a letter addressed to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, has promised to remove the objectionable statement from the next broadcasts of the episode.
“We have raised objections to the Marathi language in an episode that aired on October 27, 2020 on Colors Channel. We have taken note of these objections and have taken corrective measures to remove this part from all subsequent airings, ”the color company Viacom18 Media said in its letter.
The letter added, “We apologize if we have inadvertently hurt the sentiments of the people of Maharashtra because this comment has been circulated regarding the Marathi language. We respect the audience and the patronage of Marathi-speaking audiences and respect all the languages of India in the same way. ”
John asked Nikki not to speak in Marathi with fellow contestant Rahul’s doctor and said “Morocco chid hoti hai (which irritates me).” The statement did not go down well with Shiv Sena leader Pratap Sarnayak and MNS leader Ameya Khopkar, who condemned the statement and demanded an apology, otherwise the shooting of Bigg Boss 14 would be stopped.

In a tweet in Marathi, Amaya Khopkar, after her comments, challenged John to pursue a career in Mumbai. The MNS leader targeted the colors for not earning it and said it was “the faces of traitors.”
Singer Kumar Sanu’s son, John, recently got into another controversy when he called Rahul a product of nepotism. John’s mother, Rita Bhattacharya, recently released an emotional video saying that she has worked very hard to know where she is and that Rahul’s views are unnecessary.
