Hero Electric, the country’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has cut the price of its Optima HX range in the domestic market. The company has reduced the price of its vehicles following the amendment to the (FAME-II) subsidy. Now, the initial price of this scooter has gone up to Rs 53,600, which was previously Rs 61,640. Customers can book this scooter for just Rs 2,999 through the company’s official website.
The Hero Optima HX is one of the best-selling scooters. The company uses a 1200 watt electric motor and its top speed is 42 kilometers per hour. The scooter is equipped with a 51.2 V / 30 AH capable portable battery pack that delivers up to 82 km on a single charge.
Moreover, this scooter is also available with a dual battery pack, which gives a driving range of up to 122 km. Its dual battery pack variant is priced at Rs 58,980. As for features, the Optima HX receives features such as the digital instrument cluster, apron mounted turn indicators, USB port, 12-inch alloy wheel, LED headlight, remote lock system, anti-theft alarm.
The company has decorated the scooter with attractive graphics, starting with the front apron and going to the body panel. It features a single piece Pylon Grablel with step-up seating. The scooter is available in four colors, including red, gray, blue and white. This scooter comes in a total of four variants and the price offered here is according to Ex-showroom Delhi.
In the past, let’s say that the Department of Heavy Industries (DHI) has made some major amendments to the Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Production (FIM II) project. According to the department, the subsidy for electric two-wheelers will be around Rs 15,000 per kilowatt.
