Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the franchise team that has won the Indian Premier League (IPL) three times, released its new jersey on Wednesday, which also includes ‘camouflage’ while honoring the Indian Army. CSK CEO KS Vishwanath said, ‘We have been thinking for a long time about how to raise awareness about the important and selfless service of the armed forces. CSK highly respects the Indian Army and will be awarded Rs 2 crore at the start of the 2019 IPL season. In addition, Dhoni is an honorary lieutenant colonel in the regional army and trained with the parachute regiment in 2019. The jersey has been redesigned for the first time since IPL 2008.
