Bangalore: The government has decided to set up Kovidi Laboratories in a private partnership. K. Sudhakar said.

He was speaking at the inauguration of the new Kovid Test Laboratory in Whitefield, the European Institute of Clinical Genetic India.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to increase the number of coronavirus testing by three times and build the necessary infrastructure. He explained that the laboratory is being set up in private partnership.

The program was jointly organized by the Departments of Medical Education and Health and will be invited within a week, he said.

In just six months, 144 Kovid test labs have been opened in the state. Here, the company promises 5 thousand test per day. The government promised to cooperate.

Infection in the state is increasing due to the lack of awareness among the people who are aware of the coroner’s control. He said the government has decided to take strict action against those who do not wear a mask and do not follow the government guidelines.

Despite the high incidence of positive cases, the death rate has been controlled at 1.52%. We have also achieved another milestone by testing 50 lakh Kovid. “We will increase the capacity to 1.5 lakh per day in the next few days,” he said.
