Ford’s compact sedan will be launched with an automatic gearbox, offering better mileage

Ford India recently launched its hatchback car Figo with a new automatic gearbox. Now the company is preparing to release its sub-compact sedan car Aspire with a new automatic gearbox. The company stopped offering both cars last year with an automatic gearbox.

According to media reports, the company can now offer a Ford Aspire petrol engine variant with a new 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. It uses the same 1.2-liter petrol engine found in the Ford Figo. This engine produces 95bhp of power and 119Nm of torque. Figo Automatic is offered by the company in two trims, including Titanium and Titanium Plus.

Let us tell you that Ford claims that the Figo automatic car delivers mileage of up to 16 kilometers. The Aspire sedan is also believed to offer the same mileage. The new 6-speed automatic gearbox comes with Sport Mode, which provides better feedback with faster gear shifting. At the same time, with the help of a selective shift function, the driver can manually change gears.

Currently, the initial price of the Titanium variant of the Ford Aspire is priced at Rs 7.27 lakh. It is priced at Rs 7.62 lakh with the top Titanium Plus variant. The company will only offer its diesel variant with manual transmission. Although it is difficult to say anything about its price before its release, it is believed to be worth up to $ 1 lakh.
