Where is Hershill?
Harsil is located in the Uttarkashi District of Garhwal in Uttarakhand. Gangotri is located at a distance of 21 km from the main attraction of the place. The way to Gangotri from here is very beautiful.
When and how to go
The best time to visit Harsil is from April to June or September to November. To reach here, you have to travel from ish Shikesh to Uttarkashi and from there towards Harshil and Gangotri. Local trains are easily available from Uttarkashi.
