lok jan shakti party and nitish political rivalry in 15 years old know why nobody could form government in 2005

Lok Janshakti Party and Janata Dal U Tashan are not new. In 2005 too, LJP stood up against Nitish Kumar. Because of not supporting Nitish for the post of CM, no government could finally be formed in Bihar. Mid-term elections had to be held in the state.

The 2005 assembly elections in Bihar were held in February-March. In those days, the NDA government headed by Atal Bihari Bajpayee at the Center and Ram Vilas Paswan were the prominent faces of the cabinet. But resigned just before the election, he formed the Lok Janshakti Party and lashed out against Lalu, Nitish in Bihar alone. It is said that at that time Nitish wanted Ram Vilas to stay with him and join the campaign against the Lalu family, but Ram Vilas alone entered the field.

The Lok Janshakti Party performed well in the 2005 general assembly elections. The party won 29 seats. No political party got an absolute majority in the election. When the struggle to form the government started, Nitish Kumar once again tried to add Ram Vilas Paswan but he was not ready for it. It is said that then Ram Vilas Paswan forced Nitish to back down, hoping to support a Muslim by making him the Chief Minister.

Elections were over, but the political crisis in Bihar was not taking its name. Meanwhile, there were also reports of attempts to sack the MLAs of the Lok Janshakti Party, which were then strongly denied by Nitish Kumar. However, the distance between the Lok Janshakti Party and Nitish Kumar kept increasing in this turmoil that took place to form the government. Despite this upheaval, no party could form the government due to Ram Vilas Paswan being insistent and was forced to hold mid-term elections in October-November.

Loss in mid-term election
The Lok Janshakti Party suffered a lot in the mid-term elections. Its seats were reduced from 29 to 10. The JDU-BJP alliance got an absolute majority and Nitish Kumar became the Chief Minister of the state.

Stayed together in JP movement, then separated the way

Many leaders who played an important role in the politics of Bihar, including Ram Vilas Paswan, Nitish Kumar, Lalu Prasad Yadav and Sushil Modi, were first with Patna University and then with Jayaprakash Narayan in the ‘Total Revolution’ movement. But in the battle for power, their paths continued to diverge. Lalu and Nitish, who came out of the JP Movement, became the Chief Minister of Bihar, while Ram Vilas Paswan has been a minister at the Center continuously since 1996 (except 2009-2014). Sushil Kumar Modi is also the deputy CM of Bihar for more than a decade. Political analysts say that while Ram Vilas Paswan has been playing an important role in the politics of the Center for decades, he has been keeping an eye on the chair of the CM of Bihar. Now his son Chirag is also busy preparing his army for this power struggle of the throne of ‘Pataliputra’. For this, they have to prepare their political ground parallel to Nitish in Bihar. What will be the result, it will be clear only after the results of the Bihar Legislative Assembly elections on November 10, but they have set the tone for this.
