Country’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki is set to expand its sport utility vehicle (SUV) portfolio to the domestic market. According to reports, the company will launch 5 new models in the market in the near future, including the affordable compact SUV ‘YTB’ (codenamed).
One of the company’s upcoming models is the MPV and 4 SUV models. This new sub-four-meter SUV from Maruti will be under the Vitara Breza, which competes with models like the Nissan Magnite in the market. It is also reported in media reports that the new SUV will be based on the company’s premium hatchback Baleno.
There is no doubt that this new SUV will be a little more expensive than the current Maruti Baleno. But Maruti Suzuki is only known for the affordable models in the market, so the company is expected to try to keep its price low. The company is expected to sell this SUV from its Arena showroom. This new model is a good choice for those who choose other brands in this category.

In this SUV it is reported that the company will use the petrol-electric hybrid system under the Mission Green Million project. This helps to give the car better mileage. Vibration can give this SUV a coupe design with the rear being slower. As seen in the company’s concept model Futuro-E introduced at the last Auto Expo.
The 48V mild hybrid system can be used in the SUV. The company can manufacture these SUVs at Toyota plant in Karnataka. However, there has been no official announcement yet. As for the price, the car is currently a bit more expensive than the Baleno, but it will be cheaper than the Maruti Bresa. Currently, Vitara Bresa is priced at Rs 7.34 lakh to Rs 11.40 lakh. In such a situation, its price may be said to be between Rs 6 and Rs 8 lakh.
