MG Astor: This new SUV has Geo Internet technology and will be presented tomorrow, competing with Hyundai Creta

Morris Garages (MG) continues to strengthen its vehicle portfolio in the Indian market. Having entered the Indian market with the MG Hector, the company is now preparing to launch its new model MG Astor in the mid-size SUV segment. According to information, the MG Astor will be launched in the Indian market tomorrow ie 18th August. It is the fourth model in the Indian market by a British automaker, and has previously introduced models such as the MG Hector, Hector Plus and MG Electric SUV. A special feature of this new SUV is that it has signed a deal with Geo, the country’s leading telecom company. That is, Reliance Jio provides an IT system for artificial intelligence.

MG Motor India introduced its first model as the country’s internet car. Now the company is once again engaging customers with modern Internet technology. Reliance Jio provides e-SIM and enough technology for real-time infotainment and telematics. Automakers have already confirmed that the new SUV is based on the CAAP (concept as a car platform).

Most interestingly, the Astor SUV is the cheapest MG car to offer Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. Angie Motors is working globally on advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain and many more. All of these technologies support the company’s new CAAP platform and help meet car requirements on demand. There is no doubt tomorrow MG will see some special and advanced features in this car.

In fact, the current version of the MG Astor Company’s electric SUV is the SDS EV Patrol Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) version. In it, the company claims a 1.5-liter capacity 4-cylinder petrol engine with mild hybrid technology that produces 141bhp of power and 240Nm of torque. The same engine has been used in the MG Hector, and the company is now preparing to compete with the SUV in this segment with Hyundai Creta and Kia Celto.

As for the design, it looks exactly like the current electric SUV ZS. The company will definitely make some changes to it and some other features will be added to it. It can get the MG One-inspired front grille, redesigned headlamps, LED daytime running lights, roof mounted spoiler, LED tail lamps and dual tone alloy wheels. The interior is expected to be similar to an electric SUV.

In addition, it offers an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system that connects to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features of the car include a fully digital instrument cluster with large MID unit, i-Smart Connected Technology, flat-bottom steering wheel, advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), tire pressure monitoring system, sun roof and automatic AC unit.
