Mithun Chakraborty joins BJP Amidst rumors of Ulation, actor met Kailash Vijayawargiya

Shortly before the Bengal elections, have ulation rumors intensified in political circles over whether actor Mithun Chakraborty will join the Bharatiya Janata Party? Meanwhile, National Secretary General of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Kailash Vijayawargiya, met Mithun Chakraborty on Saturday in Kolkata. Kailash Vijayawardene himself confirmed his visit with Mithun Chakraborty via Twitter. Sharing a number of photographs, Vijayawarga said, “There was a long discussion last night with film star Mithun Da in Belgaia, Kolkata.

BJP sources said that Mithun Chakraborty may attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in Kolkata today. Not only that, but many Bengal stars will also attend the rally. A senior BJP leader said, “They can take part in today’s rally. Let’s see what happens.”
However, BJP’s national general secretary Kailash Vijayavargia said there was no discussion about Mithun Chakraborty joining the BJP.

Mithun Chakraborty, who was once close to the CPI-M, was the TMC Rajya Sabha MP a few years back. However, he later expressed his desire to retire from politics and resigned. Voting in Bengal will begin in eight phases from March 27 and the results will be out on 2 May.
