Mandya; Bangalore: CCB police have arrested seven persons for allegedly illegally marijuana crossing at Somanahalli village in Madhur Taluk.
CCB police arrested seven people, including a young man, Sudeep, from Somanahalli village on Wednesday evening.
Background
The CCB police in Bangalore have come to know that marijuana is being sold illegally near Somanahalli, Madurai Taluk. As usual the accused were immersed in marijuana. The CCB police, informed by the local public, have also managed to apprehend six Bangalore-based men, including Somahalli Sudeepa.
It is learned that the accused were taken to Bangalore without any information being given to the local police. The locals had complained to the CCB that the local police had failed to prevent the sale of marijuana for several days.
The arrest of the accused without giving any information to the local police station is a source of embarrassment to the local police.
