Shamna Kasim was born on January 23, 1989, in Kannur, Kerala, India, to Kassim and Ramla Beevi. She grew up in a Muslim family along with her siblings, Sheriffa, Arifa, Shaina, and Shanavas. Shamna completed her high school education at Ursuline Senior Secondary School, Kannur, and later moved to St. Teresa’s, Kannur, to focus more on her dancing skills. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English literature. Shamna is a well-trained classical dancer and gained recognition after participating in the dance competition Super Dancer aired on Amrita TV.
