Ford, America’s leading automaker, has long been operating in the Silent mode in the Indian market. But once again Ford has put an end to all the talk by releasing a teaser of the automated incarnation of its famous hatchback car Figo. Ford India has released a new teaser of the car on the social networking site Twitter, featuring a glimpse of the car. At first, there was no big change in this car. Its front grille is also similar to the current model, though its alloy wheels seem to have changed slightly. It will be offered with a new design.
Ford Figo Automatic is expected to be launched with the company’s 6-speed torque converter gearbox. The gearbox is also offered in the company’s compact SUV Ford EcoSport. However, there is no information on whether this automatic torque converter is used in both petrol and diesel variants.
In this car the company can use the existing BS6 1.2 liter capacity T-VCT petrol engine. The car can also be launched with a 1.5 liter diesel engine. Its petrol engine produces 95bhp and 119Nm of torque. At the same time, the diesel engine delivers 99bhp of power and 215Nm of torque. The current engine is compatible with a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox.
As for the price, it is priced at Rs. Currently, the price of this car starts from Rs 5.82 lakh and starts at Rs 8.37 lakh. With the new gearbox, the company is likely to include some additional features in the car, which will be revealed soon after the car arrives. Its current petrol model offers 18.5 kmpl mileage and diesel variants up to 23.5 kmpl.
