UPSSSC VDO Appointment: UPSSSC Village Development Officer Recruitment Exam canceled

UPSSSC VDO Appointments 2018: Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has canceled the recruitment examination of Rural Development Officer, Gram Panchayat Officer and Social Welfare Supervisors 2018. By this examination the vacancies of vacant village development officer, grama panchayat officer and social welfare officer were to be filled. The notification for this appointment has been released in 2018.

Out of the total number of vacancies, 1527 posts are for Grama Panchayat Officer, 362 posts for Village Development Officer and 64 posts for Social Welfare Supervisors.

14.27 lakh youth have applied for this appointment. The test was conducted on 22nd and 23rd December 2018. There were 9.53 lakh candidates.

In January 2021, selected candidates for VDO recruitment were performing near UPSSSC and CM Housing. The selection process of these candidates and their recruitment process does not continue until 16 months after the final result.

Candidates were informed that the competitive examination for the three posts (Gram Panchayat Officer, Village Development Officer and Social Welfare Supervisor) was held in December 2018. The result came on August 2019. The Commission then had to send a list of selected candidates to the department. Not only that, but until February 2020, the document review program was published and canceled every month. The list has been released for review of 1553 student records. The recruitment process has now been postponed for 10 months after the Commission’s final results were reviewed by the SIT.
