Drug case Five pubs raided in Bengaluru

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) raided five pubs in Bangalore as part of its action in the drug case. The raids were carried out on Saturday night, officials said. Bangalore Joint Commissioner of Police Sandeep Patil said in a brief statement on Sunday, “In our investigation of the drug case, we found that drugs are usually taken in some pubs.” Therefore, five pubs were searched last night with a search warrant.

Police have not shared any information regarding the outcome of the raid. Police has launched a campaign against drug trafficking in the city and arrested several people including some Kannada film actresses, narcotics smugglers, rave party organizers as part of the investigation into the matter.

Narcotics gangs busted here by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), against whom this action was taken. Two police officers were recently suspended for leaking information related to the CCB investigation.
