Legislative Council member Devendra Pratap Singh has questioned the change in exam pattern from PCS-2018. He has written a letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, giving detailed information about PCS discrepancies. If the member of the Legislative Council is to be believed then the most competitive Hindi-speaking students have suffered. They allege that the Hindi-speaking contestants have been denied selection despite having talent. Therefore, an appeal has been made to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath that again those candidates affected by the pattern change should be given two opportunities which have been overpaid for the PCS exam.

Accused of not scaling in PCS mains
Legislative Council member Devendra Pratap Singh has said through the letter that scaling was not done in the main examination in PCS-2018. While the advertisement clearly provides. While those taking the exam with the subject of humanities were at a disadvantage because they get full marks in Mathematics and Science, but they do not get full marks in Humanities.

Exams only through Hindi
Devendra Pratap Singh has demanded that the PCS examination be conducted only through Hindi medium, keeping in view the demands of Uttar Pradesh’s competitors. The PCS-2018 copies should be evaluated as per the advertisement. Also, the subjects of Hindi and English medium should be evaluated by different experts. The letter said that the preliminary examination should be treated as mere retrenchment, twenty times relative to the post or 20 times of the applied candidates, the candidates should be declared successful for the main examination.
